Are there a lot of American cars in Japan?
December 7th, 2009 Posted by: admin
Like there are in Europe, America, and Australia because of their rapidly improving style, gas mileage and quality?
Even if you are a Japanese girl doesn’t mean ****! If you didn’t now, Ford is now 10th in the world in reliability, past Nissan, Mitsubishi, Izuzu, Suzuki, and more. Merucry is 8th, Lincoln is 3rd, and Buick is tied with Lexus in 2nd. I research cars day and night and hope to become a designer of cars technically and style wise.

What can I do to get money back from a used car dealer when the lemon law does not apply?
December 4th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I bought a used car from a dealer in Syracuse, NY with a bad transmission. It is a 93 LeBaron with 135,000 miles on it. It drove off the lot OK then the transmission went a few miles later. He’s been “working on it” for OVER 2 MONTHS!! He continues to delay me with new excuses every week. He won’t give me my money back and yet he won’t admit the car is no good. Other than the NY State DMV, Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau are there any other sources besides a lawyer to ask for help?

Which person running for President is calling for a 23 percent sales tax? Would that get rid of illlegals?
December 3rd, 2009 Posted by: admin
Wouldn’t it make life a lot harder for the citizens as well?Who could afford that sales tax?Surely not the middle class people!?Maybe the very wealthy could but most people couldn’t afford that as a sales tax. If sales tax went up this high, how would it get rid of illegals here? Would it cause another depression?Whose crazy idea in this from people running for President? Has anyone heard anything about this crazy idea? This person also wants to get rid of the IRS as well.

we got car finance this weekend just gone for a car and now are deciding to get a loan to pay off the money?
December 2nd, 2009 Posted by: admin
straight away, do we have to pay any intrest back to them if we now pay in full? we havent even had to make our first payment yet.
I already have a car loan and have the car, what i am asking is if i got a personal loan from a bank, would i be able to pay back the car finance loan in full without having to payback any intrest?
To the last post, I think it will make a big difference, as intrest amount is a lot lower for a peronal loan than a car finance loan, they are much higher.

Inexpensive body paint for skin use?
November 27th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I want to paint my body for a parade and don’t know what kind of body paint to use. A lot of searches for “body paint” turn up car info. It’s a one time thing, so I don’t want to spend a lot.

How smart is starting from scratch to start your own business?
November 27th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I’ve worked in the corporate world for the past 15 years and recently went back to school for my law degree. I now want to quit my job and start my own law practice. I have just a couple of cases right now (including one really good one that could bring in lots of cash when/if it settles) but know I could bring in a lot more work if I devoted myself to practice full stop. I have great connections with lots of other lawyers and know a couple that would let me work out of their space. Anyway, I don’t have much cash saved and my credit is weak. I’m thinking of selling my house and my car and taking an apt. in the city where I will practice. This would cut down bills alot as well as my current 2 hour round trip commute. Has anyone done something similar- shed a lot of your assets to finance a dream? Or is it better just to repair my credit and try to get a loan? Borrowing from family or friends isn’t really a realistic option.

What cars are the best based on reliability, re-sale value and mileage?
November 22nd, 2009 Posted by: admin
I am looking to buy a new/newish car (2007-2009) and I am wondering what some good cars would be to consider. My main concerns are reliability and gas mileage, although I would like a car with substantial power. I’m also worried that it is a waste to purchase a new car because of the drastic drop in value after you drive off the lot, is it better to buy a car a few years older with still some warranty left? I am considering the Corolla, Civic, Jetta (City) and Focus. Thank you.

Why Can’t Car Dealers Just Show The Price On A Used Car?
November 17th, 2009 Posted by: admin
Very few do.
And I want to know what they are asking.
I know cars (as well as everything else in life) is negotiable.
Some dealers want as much as 4K over retail and then try to hard sell you when you go on their lot.
I just say have a nice day and find a dealer with a more reasonable price and the soft sell approach.
Wouldn’t at least these dealers with a 2K margin have the upper hand even before I’d enter the dealership.
For example, here in the Midwest, I would NEVER go to a Bob Rohrman dealership.
So isn’t it to their advantage to show their asking price up front?

How can I find out how much a dealer will pay for a used car?
November 13th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I am looking for a used car and I found one I really liked, but a little over my budget. The seller is moving overseas and most likely won’t have time to sell it before he moves.
He is planning on selling the car back to the dealership he bought it. How can I figure out how much the dealership will pay for it? I’d like to make a contra offer based on this information.
Is it higher or lower than the trade-in value I find on the online appraisal websites?
Just adding, the dealers only tell how much they would pay if they actually see the car.
Thanks
I already looked kbb, edmunds, etc. They give only how much a dealer will pay when you trade your car (I guess they pay less if you don’t buy a car with them), private and dealer prices.
I don’t think a lot of people directly sell their cars to dealers (like carmax, for ex), because they don’t pay a lot. But I am not sure…
Ok, but what value should I pick? Trade in, private or dealer estimate?
Tks

What cars are built in the USA that would help stimulate the economy?
November 11th, 2009 Posted by: admin
A lot of foreign manufacturers build their cars here in the USA and US car makers build their cars in Mexico or Canada (the new 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid is made in Mexico). So what are the best cars to buy to stimulate the US Economy?
