how to buy a car from a private person without having license?

I dont have a license or insurance, and I have enough money to buy a car that I looked on Craigslist. Can I just pay the money and take the car? Is it that simple ? What steps are there?

Is it bad to buy a car that has 270k miles on it or is it drivable for the time being? ?

I’m planning to buy a car and i found a 1992 acura integra but it has 270k miles on it. Now i want to buy it because i am studying to be an automechanic at UTI and i am looking for a project car. so i thought this would be perfect. do you think its a bad idea though?

Once I’ve decided on the car I want, what is usually the next step as far as dealing with the salesman? When I finance, is it ok to go with the banks the dealerships use or my own?

It seems IMPOSIBLE to own a car these days, is this what I’m thinking TRUE or not?

I must live in an evil lying scheming town but I am afraid I’ll have no car and be sitting my room trapped and screwed unable to go to school or anything under the circumstances

Ok so if you buy a cheap car, then the economy is so bad that every mechanic will be lyring to you about what needs to be fixed and then not telling you what you really needs to be fixed, for example; the mechanic never would put transmission fluid in my other car, the whole car blew up one day just becaue the whole time I took it to them they NEVER put any ****** fluid in and never seemed to care, then they tried to sell me a transmission for $2,300 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then if you finance a car they have high interest rates , and write up a huge loan on a car that is about to break and then they try to garnish your wages for the loan balance. Example; I bought a car for $3,000 on the lot, they made a loan for $8,000 for it, then after the car was repossesed they sold it for about $200 and the kelly blue book value of the car was only $2,000 anyways.

And then here’s another way to get trapped in this labyrinth, if you want to buy a car from the newspaper , a cheap car, used from a private owner they are really messed up or why would they be selling it ?

Any ideas on what I can do to have a car? I was thinking of working for a few months and saving my money for a car ?
Basically where I live people sit around in the back room at their job talking about how much they **** their customers and ways that they can sabotage and torture them, just the most evil miserable depressed people !!! like a rough area, and they want to cause people mysery

In Indiana, do you have to show proof of liability insurance to buy a car?

My mom was involved in a hit and run incident today. we assumed that he didn’t have liability insurance, but the other car was left, so when the police went through it, they found out that the car had been bought five days ago.

So, would the driver have to have proven to have liability insurance because he just bought a car?

How do I sell and buy a car?

What papers do I need to make when I sell my car and what papers should I have when I buy a used car? How do I transfer the name to the purchaser of the car I am selling it to at the DMV (what papers is needed)? How many days from the day I purchase the used car I have to register it at the DMV and what happens if I don’t register it in time? Thanks in advance for the help (^_^)

I was thinking of taking over someones lease for a mustang gt and its like $400 per month so I wouldnt have to put a downpayment down, (because I can’t save my money worth of shit, im always buying stuff ). Whats an easy way to pay for a car for me to own by paying per month ( btw im 17 but this includes my twin, we will share the car and both pay for it ( we work )

Are these auctions a waste of time for someone without the resources of a large dealership?
