is it ok to use a 80w light bulb for my car if it takes 55w?

my car takes a 55w for my low beams but i was wondering if it will be ok to use a 80w bulb in my low beams ? would i have to install thicker hardness? will it melt my wires?
i have a 1994 infiniti j30
the ones i wanna install are 12v 55w but the output is 80w is that ok?

Really weird car starting issue?

Every time I turn my car off it takes an 45-mins to an hour for it to start back up. I will shut if off and try to start it after 3 or for minutes and it will just crank but not fire. Also when it has been sitting for long enough, and actually does start, it takes 5-7 seconds of cranking for it to turn over. I replaced the starter and it still does the same thing. I heard it might be an oxygen sensor? But I can’t really peg this one. Now it just won’t start at all, I turn the key and it clicks once, then nothing. This is my back-up car that I like to drive on nasty days to spare my new car from running in super cold weather. Any ideas on why it won’t start? any suggestions? Also any idea on why it takes an hour after I turn it off for me to be able to turn it over again?

it is a GM 3800, stays at normal temp, runs a little rough but otherwise the only major flaw is the starting problem.

I only had the car for 12 days brand new. After all the payments are made what happens for me to get a new car? Do I just go and purchase another vehicle or does the insurance company assist me in that?

im planning to by a 97 mazda and am 17 w/ a permit for $2200. I need some precationary tips and explanations so i dont get played like a fool here, so can you guys help me out? Like when you buy a used car, what are the main things you look for in the car? and, what are some steps you take? like would a carfax report be enough or does it have to be a mechanic?

i deceided to purchase a passenger car from local tatamotors passenger car dealer and i called sales person to my home. but they not response my request. meanwhile tatamotors offered cash discount for passenger cars up to 20 december 06. so i called the sales person once again to book immediately to avail offer. but sales person visited me on the road and he called to meet him. i met him on 12 Dec 06 and i request him to take advance for the vehicle. but he refused to get advance and he asked full payment and returned back from the road itself . on 20 Dec 06 i my self went to showroom and paid advance of Rs. 20000/- asked receipt. but they told that the system was not working we will send the receipt to your homeby post. i agreed. today i received the receipt on seeing they given receipt for 21 Dec 06 (after end of the offer date) instead of 20 Dec 06 willingly avoid to give me the offer. so i want to tell this to higher authorities of tatamotors. hence i want E-mail ID.

Hi there, I am totally car illiterate and I am interested in buying a used car. I wanted to know what kind of things should I look for to get a good quality car. How can I make sure the car that I am purchasing has good working engines. Can I ask them to do a cylinder air compression test for me? Also, when owning a car what are the best ways to maintain them? What are the basic essential things that I must know about cars in order to have a decent running car? Thanks in advance.
