Well it’s another Saturday evening but not the usual one for me, Sat in my comfy chair with a ice cold bottle of Kopparberg listening to kerrang radio when suddenly the music stopped being noise and my ears pricked up. Metallica’s “That was just your life” from there Death magnetic album, I haven’t personally bothered to go out and buy the album, I would usually be barged out the way by the usual largely overweight hairier faces then my cat and 6 month old sweat stained Metallica fans I’m used to seeing every ware.
So why decide to write about this song?
Well for me Metallica was all about insane solo’s incredible riffs and heart stopping drumming, with the un-stoppable James Hetfeild giving it his best, Now don’t get me wrong those same tasty ingredients are all still there but there’s something else in this chaotic mix of Metallica madness that for me makes it just that little bit more sensual.

The song?
It starts out with what i can only explain as a heartbeat, soon joined by a guitar being picked away at, then the drums… like the skies opening up and the god of rock himself sat at a insanely prominent drum kit.
Then as it all starts to fade the true soul and spirit of the song comes alive, with some lushly tasty riffs starting to appear, I could instantly feel my arms and fingers calling out the air guitar.
It seemed like a mess of perfectly organised sounds blaring out my speakers reminded me of some early punk but with more soul and passion.
And then Mr Hetfeild kicks it in with some astonishing vocals, fast, well pronounced and aggressive getting all my adrenaline pumping ready for anything to be thrown at me.
About 3 minutes into the song my head and my feet were totally addicted to the beat, uncontrollably tapping and rocking out to the wonderful sound that is and always will be Metallica
About 5 minutes into the song and I was a full on air guitar master, my fingers playing away on their invisible fret board like never before, addicted to the astounding and breathtaking solo.
After the totally immense solo were left with some juicy fast paced well…well everything, if i were to close my eyes I think I would imagine myself on a fat bike or an old school muscle car speeding down some American highway letting nothing get in my way.
When the song finished I found myself all sweaty, in dire need of a burger and a shave, Next time Metallica brings out a new album, stay away because I will be the overweight hairy sweat monster coming into your local hmv to buy it!

1st question-do you think i could get the dealer to reduce the overall price of the car?

2nd question-how much would it cost to get the headlight fixed??

I didn’t notice when I test drove it (3x) but now that I got it home it is creaking a lot when I drive slowly, over speed bumps, etc.

I’m bringing it back to my dealer on Monday, but I am surprised it passed the pre certification,

1. why didn’t they hear the creaking or replace the bushings or lubricate them?

2. why would a fairly new car do this? Is it indicative of maybe being in an accident or being rebuilt?

3. could it be ’cause it was sitting on the lot for who knows how long and hasn’t been driven enough?
