How much off the ticket price (MSRP) should/can I ask at the car dealer (toyota)?

I would like to purchase a new toyota (currently looking at a tacoma). I would like to get it at the best price possible, but also want the dealer to take me seriously and not be too offended by an outrageoulsy low offer.

The MSRP’s I have been looking at are running around 26,000 to 29,000.

There are not currently any dealer incentives on these vehicles, but I will continue to watch.

I have excellent credit so that is not an issue.

I have time on my side as I don’t NEED the vehicle immediately.

I am located in a town with a population of roughly 40,000 and have access to larger towns nearby and their dealerships.

Thanks!

How can I disconnect the anit-theft system on my 99 nissan maxima?

When I get in my car I have to turn the alarm back on and then off again in order to start the car. However, even that is not working now and I have to disconnect my battery and then still arm and dis-arm the alarm to be able to start my car.

how do I keep my new current car loan rate without accepting a counter offer for a higher rate after 1 month?

I have made and they have accepted my first payment. My credit has since dropped but all paperwork was signed along with trade ins and down payment. Are there any options favorable to me that i can present to the finance company?

If I finance a new car, how much insurance do I buy?

I know it will have full coverage, but how much? I’m trying to get an accurate quote through geico to see if I can afford it before buying the car.

Some lost the cap to the valve on my car tire. How much can I buy em for?

Lost the plastic/rubber cap to the valve on my car tire. I just wanna get another one for real cheap. I should be able to buy them at any car part store right? They should be real cheap?
Also - will my tire deflate, or will the valve rust if i drive without a cover for it?

How do I sell a car privately that I still owe money on?

Is there a way I can sell the car and use that money to pay it off? How do I get the lien removed, so the buyer can buy a clear title from me? Paying the car off first is not an option because of the amount of money that I owe.

spring break trip, which car should i take?

i live in ohio, and i am planning to take a spring break trip to florida. I will be driving, and my 2 cars are a 2001 oldsmobile intrigue and a 2002 saab 9-5. The intrigue has 60k miles and the saab has 57k. both have had no major problems ever, and i was wondering which one would be the best to drive. the total miles for the trip should be just about 2000, and i dont want to get stranded, so i was wondering if these cars would be able to get me there. My other option is renting a car, but i am trying to stay away from that.

Classic car restore question?

How much would it cost to restore this car and make it running good and everything? This is the car I want.. but I don’t know much about fixing cars or anything like that:

1967 MGB Convertible, original California black plate car. Runs and drives…it was originally British Racing Green and the trunk and under the bonnet is still the original BRG, making this car a perfect example to restore. The original aluminum hood is still in place and the body is in great condition. The real black leather seats are in good condition (no rips or tears in the leather). A new gas tank, fuel lines and new fuel pump has just been installed. The metal dash is in good condition. Overall it is a very solid car. These chrome bumper metal dash MGs are getting harder and harder to find and the 1967 is the most desirable model. The engine has plenty of power and sounds great but is a little smoky. This is a running driving restoration candidate…ASKING $4,250.

How do I buy a car for my mom?

Here’s the situation - I want to buy a car for my mom and let my brother drive it for a few years before giving it to her. How does this work? Whose name does the insurance go under and what about registration? Thanks for any help!
