Ok… So I am super worried. I just sold my old car to a guy. I had the title and I signed the back. But he said he didn’t have to fill out the information because he will just re-sell it to someone else. Should I be worried? What can happen? Did I do it correct?

I brought my vehicle to a car dealership in a neighboring town where we originally bought the used 1999 Ford Expedition. The drivers side rear door window would pop out of its track when raising the window. The technician claimed to have repaired the window without causing any damage whatsoever but pictures would show that to be a total lie. I phoned the dealership about it and they answered it was their position that their tech is telling the truth and I am fabricating the story. What are my options now to get the door repaired of its damage as well as it being quite out of alignment at the top corner! Its horrible !!
They had called me and said they needed me to pick up the vehicle, so I drove the hour to next town to get it with my 4 little boys under age 5. When I got there, they kept me busy with small chat as they also told me to hurry as they were closing the doors for the day.I transfered the car seats over and signed the paperwork. It used to be that people took pride in their work and if they made a mistake…made an effort to fix their mistakes…no patching done…just fricken touch up paint and they couldn’t even pop trim back to avoid getting it on the trim. You can tell me i am S.O.L. but how would you feel if the teacher of your kid told you…”well you should have read more with your kid, spent more time with your kid, now your kid is gonna fail…oh well…you SOL??” I feel that if you have a job to do…well then do it right or get the hell out of the industry. I paid for work done right not gambling at the casino!!Take responsibility for work done well and bad…make it right!!
Having found the original paperwork and repair request and seeing that their inspection report doesn’t match up with the repair reports…ie….brakes new, rotors turned..etc and first repair request was within a month of purchase for wheel vibration and pulsation….their repair was warped rotors and replacing them ?? Had a local autobody expert inspect their work and they claimed to have put in shims in the window channel but none were found…they had bent out the door corner and cracked the bondo of a butchered repair..tried to touch up then got paint drippings on plastic trim!! Expert said paint was fresh not from 3 yrs ago as dealer claimed i had done. Looks like a dealership is going down!!!

They say that 20% of the homes sold in the United States are “For Sale By Owner”. Do you know what percentage of commercial real estate is “For Sale By Owner”? I would think it would be a lower percentage, but I just don’t know what that percentage is.

Hi…Im 18 & getting my first car next week which is a 2001 mustang. Im buying it from a private seller. for $5750 & 98K. He has the tittle, etc.After properly assigning the tittle when i register, will they give me a new tittle? Also, when i go register the car i have to pay all state & local sales tax to get a tittle. How much is that in St.Louis, MO(percentage & in currency)?

Also do I have to pay personal property tax…before buying the car should i call the dmv or something to check if theres any unpaid property tax on the car that has to be pay for? Im so confused…..
