Remember Those Pics Of Flooded Car Lots After Hurricane Katrina?

Once deemed totaled, cars are supposed to be sold for scrap. But unscrupulous sellers can buy them at auction, then replace the title at a Department of Motor Vehicles office in another state by fudging the document, saying it’s lost or retitling in a state that doesn’t recognize “flooded” as totaled. The practice isn’t just deceitful it’s downright dangerous. How would you protect yourself from buying one of these cars?

Will a dog jump out of a moving car with the windows rolled down?

You just bought the dog so he isn’t trained yet. Will the dog jump or is the dog smart enough to know he should not jump because it will hurt without you having to train him/her.

How does a mentally retarded person know how to drive a stick shift car?

My twin sister’s husband is so mentally slow that he can’t even spell his own name, but he’s smart enough to know how to drive a stick shift. He’s a jerk & he leeches off of her Veteran’s Benefits & pumps her up with many kids so he can get more money, & he also beats on her.

I have a college degree & can’t even drive a stick. Driving a stick is a technical & difficult task. I’m very interested in learning how to drive one.

Dealer sold me car without catalytic converter. What to do?

First off, I’m in Kentucky and don’t know the laws. I bought a used car that blew up the next day with $2000 of damage to engine. My mechanic said there is no catalytic converter and it was illegal for them to sell it to me like that. Is this true and does anyone know if I should contact a lawyer about that and the engine? The car was sold to me As-Is but only one day and the engine blowing up kind of *****. Anybody with experience in this with some advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

What would make a car run sluggish or rough when accelerating normaly?

Sometime my car feels like it is missing. But it only has 50,000 miles on it. It is a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix. It makes the shifting kind of rough also. I tried fuel system cleaner and it helped for a bit but then came back. Can anyone help me with this one please.

How do I make my roommate pay the rent?

I own my own house that was just built in 2005, but have had a roommate for 4 months. We had a verbal agreement concerning the rent, but he’s paid for only 2 of the 4 months and those payments were in cash and in increments. He has never paid the full amount on the first day of the month and so far, I’ve received nothing for this month.

He’s also taken a chunk out of the sink in his bathroom (must’ve dropped something on it) and ruined or damaged some other furniture and carpets in the house. Did I mention the house is brand new??? Since we never had a written agreement can I just kick him out with no notice? He said he will pay me on the 23rd, so should I hope for that to really happen or just kick him out now?
Just an add on - I don’t need a roommate to help with the bills, this was a friend that I have known for years, who had lived in shady hotels for the whole year until he moved in with me. He knew it was temporary and I don’t want him as a roommate at all now, I just want whatever rent I can get out of him and for him to move out.

Should I use a dealer for car problems after warrenty has expired?

It appears that in a dealship garage the parts dept. is to close to the mechanic. It becomes a replace rather than repair shop.
