Look for a Ford Focus

neon or cavalier or sunfire; these are very dependable. The one’s without overdrive don’t get the good gas mileage as the ones that have overdrive.

Look for a Nissan sentra they are almost bullet proof and get good fuel mileage. Neons are prone to trouble, like leaking head gaskets I steer my customers clear of them.

I don’t personally care for Dodge products. I’ve owned 3, and they were all a piece of crap.
We had a Toyota Tercel, and a Nissan Sentra, and a Datsun Wagon….. all of those were excellent cars. They gave very good performance, easy on gas, and were very reliable transportation
If I were going to purchase an in-expensive car I’d go with one of those. We also own a Ford Crown Vic, A Ford Ranger Pick Up X-tended cab 4X4 ( that’s my truck, I love it)…..and we also have a Ford Escort Wagon ( that’s my husband’s work vehicle)….great little car.
We are “Ford” people all the way !!!!!

If you buy any 4 cylinder get a manual. Manual transmissions cost less to maintain (if used properly) & deliever more power to the wheels than an automatic. the typical 4 cyl economy car has about 100~130HP & about 35hp gets ate up in an automatic. So they dont make for good freeway mergers or hill climbers. If you just drive at the posted speed limits in the city then a 4 cyl auto might work for you. i have a modified V8 in my cadillac since I have a “Very heavy foot!”

Some of the most long lasting cars are toyota corrolas,mazda’s323 or626 and the Honda cars seem to last really long also and the Ford Escort was a very durable car.Remember a lot has to do with who owned the car and how it was maintained.Good luck to you in your search, hopefully you will find that perfect one.

You should be able to find a nice Toyota Corolla.
This particular model has less maintenance problems, is fairly responsive, gets good mileage, low insurance rates and is the number 1 seller in the world.
