How will they find and repo my friend’s car?

My friend hasn’t paid her car note for the past few months. They are going to repossess her car. When she purchased the vehicle, she gave them a fake address. How will they find her vehicle and repossess it.

through her licence as it will declared stolen l guess, obviously with her giving a fake address to start with she never intended to pay for it, not only will it be a criminal offence, she will never get any sort of credit again,

The bigger problem your friend has is that she committed fraud when she gave a false address when she signed for the car.
She may end up charged not only with grand theft, but also grand larceny.
Eventually, the lot (or whoever is carrying the note) is going to file formal charges and a warrant will be issued.
She will also not be able to register the car. Her tags will expire, she will be stopped and subsequently arrested. And she will, in all likely hood be facing some serious felony charges.
My advice: Take it back to the lot in the middle of the night and leave it. It will be A LOT cheaper in the long run!

Tell her not to worry….They have numerous ways to find and deal with people who commit fraud. I hope she enjoys her time in jail.

Professional skip tracers are good at what they do. Many have contacts that you would never imagine. Utility companies have employees and there is the potential for information to come that way. What about her employer and her personal references? These are the first areas that will be explored, many times a bribe to a friend along with the promise that the source will not be revealed is all it takes to find someone.
As for registering the car, she can keep the plates current…unless there are fraud charges brought up…I can’t believe your friend would be so stupid as to give a false address and that is what can hang her.
The leinholder can also seek a repossession order and your friend will be forced to turn over the car or be in contempt of court.
Your friend should turn over the car to avoid a myriad of legal issues including theft by fraud. If it weren’t for the lie about the address she could play cat and mouse for awhile…but with what she is facing, it is not worth it at all.
