Because of gas price, will someone steal my little cheap Ford Focus?

Since nobody wants those expensive cars…
Is there a high chance someone will steal my Ford Focus..?
Because I feel my cheap car will now be a luxury car.
The price is going up because of large demand of small car.

The LAST thing on a car thief’s mind is the gas mileage…he/she won’t have it long enough to care, just long enough to steal parts off it or go from A to B, pull off a robbery, etc. Car thieves tend to be practical.
I love the Focus, but I wouldn’t expect a huge jump in value or anything, especially if it’s more than 1-2 years old. Car values fluctuate significantly based on appeal and availability (Big appeal + not many around = high selling price.) Unfortunately, Focuses can be found everywhere, so supply and demand is working against you there.
Be happy with your Focus…my piece o’ junk Jetta is getting about 20 MPG! I might as well get an Escalade, for crying out loud!

you know i don’t consider mileage in the thirty’s as good gas mileage. Full size cars like the Buick park avenue and the Lincoln mark 8 will get you 30 MPG so a little thing like your focus and all you get is maybe mid thirty i think that’s a joke. we need cars getting 50 to 60 MPG and if gas prices keep going up over the next couple years we will need higher then that.
