How can I sell my car?

It is a honda civic, in great shape, I just can’t afford the payments. I have put ads in newspapers and on internet sites, but I haven’t received a single call.

May be you have not put in an attractive price. You might want to reconder the sale price again and drive to neibourhood where they likely will need the car, like immigrants neibourhood.

Try parking it on a busy street with for sale signs on it. It worked for us when we sold our Honda Accord recenlty. The paper and internet didn’t work for us either. Good luck!

Try trade magizines like Autotrader. Or try eBay Motors. Or perhaps your price is to high…

Try the recycler on the internet and the paper too. i sold an oldsmobile that wasn’t even running in auto something newspaper like the recycler when I got the guy to come out and take a picture of it. its worth the 25 or 50 dollars it costs. Actually that place did it for free. Call around.

The other half of the question is: “How can I sell my car for a reasonable price?”
Selling it is easy. Selling it for a price you’d be happy with is not easy. That’s because (if you’re like most of us) you paid about 40% more than it was worth when you bought it. Cars’ values are determined by the WHOLESALE value and we buy them at the RETAIL price (unless you have a dealer’s license).
The BIG PROBLEM comes when we want to sell the car and get even a portion of our investment back. When selling a car on the retail market, there is a lot of competition and you are already at a BIG disadvantage. If I buy your car, it is mine as soon as I pay you the money and drive away. If the transmission fails on the way home, I’m just out of luck.
I would be better protected as a buyer to choose a car off a dealer’s lot. UNLESS you’re going to make me such an offer that I can’t refuse! The best advice on selling a car is DON’T sell it. You’ll probably take a beating if you do.
